Release Notes: Import of pages from different versions of Management Server is no longer possible
OpenText Web Site Management Server is a server application that provides an editorial workspace for editors, publishing functions for web pages, and management functions for large websites in the intranets and internet.
OpenText Web Site Management Server Version 11.2 SP2 includes the following new features and changes:
The exported XML files can only be imported to a Management Server with the same service pack level. It is possible to import to a Management Server with a different hotfix level, but the major and minor version number and the service pack level have to be the same.
A Management Server version number consists of four numbers, separated by dots (example: 11.2.1.278). The page import compares the first three numbers and they must match to allow the import. This means that exporting/importing pages is possible between two Management Servers as long as their major and minor version and their service pack level is the same. Hotfix numbers may be different.
